This is Fatoumata Diawara. I was at her concert at Stockholm Music & Arts festival this Sunday. She took me with storm! She is from the Ivory Cost (but has Malian parents), sings about war and misery but with a gorgeous jazzy voice and she is charming on stage.

The Recital by Vittorio Reggianini
“Born in Modena in 1858, Vittorio Reggianini trained in the local academy alongside Gaetano Bellei (see lot 61) and Eugenio Zamphighi (see lot 62). In 1885, he moved to Florence and it was during this period that the artist established a reputation for himself on the international art market. At this time, the artist’s choice of subject matter and style dramatically shifted from the local historical realism that dominated his earliest work to the new Continental taste for more fanciful paintings that recreated the luxuriant lifestyles and opulent decor of the 18th Century.” (Christies auction: 19th Century European Paintings )
